Latest Updates:

23/11/2008 - Have'nt had a chance to update the site for a few weeks due to work and other commitments but here's a selection of what was seen last week from around the country whilst on an all line rover. We started on Monday 17/11 and headed to Barnetby via Lincoln where 56311/56312 were seen on hire to Colas Rail conveying steel from Washwood Heath - Immingham. Also seen was the Yorkshire RHTT with 20304/20305 providing the power. We then headed for Carlisle, via Manchester and shortly after arrival 37688 & 37667 were seen with one of the Cumbrian based sets.

The next move was to Shrewsbury via Leeds & London. After a night in the town we headed for Cardiff then North again to Stafford via Birmingham & Walsall. Down to London again via Rugby & Northampton and a trip on the FGW sleeper was had as far as Plymouth. From here we took Cross Country's 0640 HST to Dundee where we had another nights break.

Friday started with a trip to Glasgow then a trip to Carlisle via the Glasgow South Western. We then worked over to Sunderland where Grand Central's 1730 to London was in store.

Finally another trip on the FGW sleeper to Exeter where we picked up South West Trains 0510 to London via the Mule!

12/10/08 - A few updates from the past week of a few bits & pieces around London/Essex.

Saturday 04th October - A trip out mainly aiming to catch some ED's at Cricklewood however it all went wrong due to problems in the 'Thameslink' tunnels at Kentish Town. So only three photos featuring 180110 seen at Kings Cross on hire to Hull Trains as well as an East Midlands Trains 222 at West Hampstead

Friday 10th October - A visit to Marks Tey to catch the East Anglian RHTT wich was operated throughout by 57009 & 57012. Also seen was 66516, 60100 on the loaded Sand to Hayes as well as 90036 on long term hire to National Express East Anglia.

Saturday 11th October - Just one shot today of 47773 working solo with a Tyesley - Southend charter, seen near East Tilbury. The tour was meant to be the debut for the 'Stratford 47 Group' 47580 however it was failed the night before.

27/09/08 - This collection features updates from both last weekend and today. Firstly are a few photos from the North Yorkshire Moors Railway at Grosmont where we spent last Saturday afternoon looking round the railways steam sheds (Ta JP) We then continued on the mainline service through to Whitby which was hauled by 45231 'Sherwood Forester' throughout.

Todays update features photos from the Dean Forest Railway's diesel gala day. Featuring: 13308, 27066, D9555, 31466 & 73001. Various combinations were seen during the day however the 27 did'nt get a run until the last turn due to no driver being available earlier in the day. Also seen was 37263 undergoing restoration on the site and a very sorry looking 73002 which is merely a shell. On our way back we also managed to see two diverted freights due to signalling problems near the Severn Tunnel.

I am 19 years old and live near Brentwood in Essex. Browse round the images in the collections and see what you think. Please provide feedback and comments on the photos as well.

All the photos currently appearing were taken using a Olympus C-450/Nikon D70s and a Nikon D300 which I have recently acquired.

My local station is Shenfield and as you can see I have a range of photos from around the surrounding area and also around London. Over time more and more photos will be added from a range of different locations. And I will also do my best to get a photo of a unusal working near my area so that viewers of this website can have a look.
